Activity Description: Draw two lines with chalk on the ground, or use two ropes to make two parallel lines on the ground about 5 feet apart. This is the "Volley Valley". With a friend, see how many times you can volley a volleyball or beachball over the valley without letting the ball fall in the valley, hit the ground, or without falling in the valley yourself. Can you get 25 in a row? 50?...how high can you go? If you don't have a partner try volleying up against a mountain (a wall) to yourself instead. |
